Terms

Last updated: 1 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Xuro. By creating an account you agree to them. If you use Xuro for a company, you agree for that company too.

Who we are

Xuro is run by a sole trader in New Zealand. Contact: [email protected].

What Xuro is

Xuro Designer helps you draw traffic management plans. The Xuro Review Engine checks a TMP package and lists possible issues, with the page and clause each one relates to.

The Xuro Review Engine assists a qualified reviewer. It does not replace one, and it does not approve plans. Findings are possible issues for you to check. Xuro can miss things and can be wrong. You and your organisation stay responsible for every plan you design, sign or submit, and for meeting CoPTTM, NZGTTM and any road controlling authority's requirements.

Xuro is independent. It is not made or endorsed by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi or any council.

Early software

Xuro is new and still changing. Features may change, move or stop, and there may be times it's unavailable. We'll do our best to keep it running and to give notice of big changes.

Early access

Early access is free and by invitation. It includes 3 TMP reviews and 14 days of Designer access, starting when you first sign in.

Early access offer

The first 5 early access users who want to keep going can pay $10 a week for their first 6 months.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. One account is for one person.

Your content

You own the plans you draw and the files you upload. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Xuro for you. Only upload files you have the right to use.

Fair use

Don't use Xuro to break the law, upload harmful files, try to get into other people's accounts or data, copy or resell Xuro, or overload it. We can suspend an account that does these things.

Our content

Xuro, its software and design belong to us. Map imagery, map data, sign drawings and standards extracts belong to their owners and are used under their licences.

Liability

Xuro is for businesses. To the extent the law allows, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, because you're using Xuro in trade. You agree it's fair and reasonable for you to be bound by that.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, lost profit, or any decision made about a plan, a site or a submission. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, or $100 if you've paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law says can't be limited.

Ending your account

You can close your account any time by emailing us. We can close it with 30 days' notice, or straight away if these terms are seriously broken. When an account closes, we delete its content within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll give account holders at least 30 days' notice. If you don't agree, you can close your account before the change applies.

Law

New Zealand law applies, and New Zealand courts can hear any dispute.
