Submitting

Where to submit a CAR

By contacting the council's District Assets Transportation team by email ([email protected]), who send the paperwork and guide you through. The council says it is developing an online application form. This comes from the council's accessway FAQ; no CAR page was found on the council site.

When a CAR is needed

A CAR is an application to carry out works within the legal road corridor, and it lets the council know someone intends to work in a specific area and helps it track and coordinate work on its network. The FAQ does not list which works need one.
