Closures and road space
- Road closure application
Yes, a separate application form (event, motor sport or roadworks version), needed when a single lane cannot safely be kept open. Apply at least 12 weeks ahead for motor sport events, 6 weeks for community and other events, and 4 weeks for roadworks. After the council accepts it, the council must advertise it for public objections, and it may ask you to consult further or withdraw consent if there are major concerns.
