Closures and road space

Road closure application

Yes: the council says consent for a temporary road closure must be obtained if a road or part of a road needs to be closed for an event, or if works need to be carried out on or under the road, and gives an online application form. The council publishes notices of proposed closures under the Local Government Act, with a date for objections. For events, a residents and businesses consent form is also used.
